Sir Francis Barrington, 1st Baronet (ca. 15703 July 1628)〔(【引用サイトリンク】 Leigh Rayment - Baronetage )〕 was an English lawyer and politician who sat in the House of Commons in two periods between 1601 and 1628. ==Life== Barrington was the eldest son of Sir Thomas Barrington of Barrington Hall, Hatfield Broadoak, Essex (died 1586) and as her second husband Winifred Pole (b. aft. 1521 or in 1525), youngest daughter of the 1st Baron Montagu. He was educated at Cambridge University. In 1601, Barrington was elected Member of Parliament for Essex.〔(Browne Willis ''Notitia parliamentaria, or, An history of the counties, cities, and boroughs in England and Wales: ... The whole extracted from mss. and printed evidences'' 1750 pp176-239 )〕 He was knighted on 7 May 1603 on the accession of King James I of England at Theobalds House, Hertfordshire, In 1604 he was re-elected MP for Essex . He was re-elected in 1624, 1625, 1626 and 1628 and sat until his death in 1628.
